Women’s Leadership Initiatives Strengthen Staff and Business

According to 2008 Trends in the Supply of Accounting Graduates and the Demand for Public Accounting
Recruits (2008 Trends), published by the AICPA, 52 percent of accounting bachelors and masters candidates are female compared to 48 percent male. Though men still outnumber women at CPA firms (55 percent to 45 percent), there are increased numbers of female managers due in part to the success of full- and part-time flexibility programs within many firms.
